1. What are the requirements to participate?

• Send us a photo of yourself in PNG or JPG format at the TotalEnergies ½ MARATHON CITY OF MÁLAGA 2025.
• Follow the @mediademalaga account on Instagram.

2. How many categories will there be?

Two categories are established:

• Female
• Male

Each category will have a maximum of 20 photographs. In the event that more than 20 photographs are received per category, the 20 that were received first in each category will enter the competition.

3. When and how can I submit the photograph?

By email to the address prensamediomalaga@slib.es. All photographs that do not arrive through this channel will not participate in the contest.

Deadline to submit the photograph: Friday, February 13. In the email you must indicate the following:

SUBJECT: Category Contest

In the body of the message:

First and last name.

Instagram username.

Province, nationality.

Example:

SUBJECT: Men's Contest

José García

@josegarcia

Málaga, Spain

All emails that do not arrive with that subject and that information will not be part of the contest.

*Only one photograph per participant will be accepted. In case of sending more than one, the organization will choose the one it deems appropriate.

**Photographs from the knockout rounds will be adapted to the 1080×1080 px format.

***Photographs from the final will be adapted to the 1080×1350 px format.

***Photographs with a watermark will not be accepted in the contest.

4. What will be the contest dynamics?

The first 20 photos of each category will be part of the contest in each category, which will be held entirely on the @mediademalaga Instagram account.

If we receive more than 10 photos, there will be an initial knockout phase. We will create random one-on-one matchups in stories, where the followers of @mediademalaga will choose which photo advances to the next round.

Once the knockout rounds are completed, we will reach the final with a maximum of 10 photographs.

5. When will the voting take place?

In the month of February.

6. How is the winner selected in the final of each category?

Through a popular vote on Instagram. There will be a maximum of 10 photographs in the final of each category, which will be the winners of the previous knockout rounds.

Each photo will be assigned a number. Users will vote for which is the best photo in each category on the @mediademalaga Instagram account.

Only one vote per user will be counted.

7. How are votes counted in the final of each category?

Through a web application, we export all the comments from the post to a Word file. Once we have all the votes, the count will be done using CHAT GPT following these steps:

1. Initial Extraction and Filtering:
   We collect all comments into a text file or spreadsheet.
   b. We count the frequency of each number to determine which one is mentioned the most.
2. Identification of “Invalid Votes”:
   Repeated Votes by User: We remove duplicates considering the same number mentioned by the same user.
   b. Unintentional Mentions:

• We analyze the context of the number within the comment. For example, we verify whether the number appears within a word or a combination such as a username, hashtags, or part of another number (such as “21K”).
• Only isolated numbers or those accompanied by an explicit declaration of voting intention (e.g., “I vote for 3”) will be considered valid

3. Final Result Calculation:

• With the valid votes defined, the most voted number will be determined.

8. What is the prize?

The winner of the men's category and the winner of the women's category will receive as a prize a race bib for the TotalEnergies 1/2 Marathon of Málaga 2026. In the event that he/she is already registered for the event, the prize will be a race bib for the 2027 edition.

9. Changes and Acceptance of Legal Terms

The organization reserves the right to modify or extend these Legal Terms, insofar as it does not harm or undermine the rights of the Participants in the Contest. The mere fact of participating in the Contest implies that the Participant fully accepts the conditions of these Legal Terms. Likewise, participation in a Contest of this nature implies acceptance of the rules of the Instagram social network through which it is carried out.
