The 36th edition of the TotalEnergies Málaga Half Marathon delivered a historic day marked by record numbers of registered runners, female participation and international athletes, consolidating the Málaga race as one of the major events on the international calendar.
Vincent Kipkorir, the standout performer
The great protagonist of the race was Kenyan runner Vincent Kipkorir, who, in his half marathon debut, claimed victory with an outstanding 00:59:30.
Despite the impressive time, he finished just over one minute short of the race record, set last year by his compatriot Gilbert Kipkosgei with 58:27.

Esther Chebet wins the women's race
In the women's category, victory went to Ugandan runner Esther Chebet, who crossed the finish line with a time of 01:06:33.
Slovenian athlete Klara Lukan secured an impressive second place with 01:06:43, a time that also allowed her to set a new Slovenian national record.
Third place went to Kenyan runner Winnie Jepkosgei with a time of 01:08:02.
Outstanding Spanish performance
On the national side, the standout athlete was Olympian Marta Galimany, who became the first Spanish runner to cross the finish line and also achieved her personal best with 01:09:22 at the age of 40.
In the men's category, Alberto Casas was the top Spanish finisher.
A course that proves its success
The outstanding times achieved once again confirm that the new race course has been a complete success.
The 2026 edition will therefore go down in the history of the TotalEnergies Málaga Half Marathon as a record-breaking day for a race that continues to push its limits.
