The 34th Málaga Half Marathon is listed on the World Athletics, RFEA and Andalusian Athletics Federation calendars and is regulated by the Provincial Association of Judges. All complaints must be addressed to the race's Referee up to 30 minutes after the results have been announced.

The maximum time to complete the Málaga Half Marathon is 3 hours from the official start.

The race checkpoint will be closed successively at km 5, 10, 15, 20 and the finish line, with a maximum time of 40'; 1h:20'; 2h:00'; 2h:40' and 2h: 50', respectively. When a participant is over the closing time, he/she will be overtaken by the vehicle that signals the end of the race, and he/she will have to abandon the race or, if he/she continues, he/she will do so under his/her own responsibility and comply with the traffic rules and signals, just like any other road user.

Refreshment stations will be set up at km 5, 10, 13, 16, 18,5 and water and/or isotonic drinks will be available at the finish line.

The race organisers will provide a medical service.

The race organisers will provide a cloakroom service near the starting line.

Any clarification of the rules of this race will be managed by the race organisers.

Any manipulation, alteration, or falsification of the personal data of the registered athlete will result in disqualification.

The bib may not be cut or folded and must be worn fully extended across the athlete's chest.

All officially registered participants will be covered by an insurance policy arranged by the organisers, which will cover accidents that occur as a direct consequence of the event, and never as a result of illness, latent disease, imprudence, negligence, non-observance of the laws and these rules and regulations. This insurance does not cover accidents occurring while travelling to and from the event location.

The organisers will not be held liable for any damage that participants may cause by their carelessness or negligence. Likewise, the participant declares that he/she is in optimum physical condition to participate in this race and does so under his/her own responsibility, exonerating the organisers of the race from all responsibility. By registering for this race, the participant fully accepts these rules.

The only vehicles authorised to follow the race will be those designated by the organisers. Local police will fine those drivers who do not comply with these rules.

The categories, for the sole purpose of determining the results, conform to those currently in effect according to the RFEA.

3. SUSTAINABLE HALF MARATHON

The Málaga Half Marathon will be run in an environmentally friendly format, which requires the collaboration of each and every one of the participants. We are sending this information in order to facilitate your cooperation:

  • Yellow containers will be set up 30 and 100 metres after the refreshment stations where runners can toss their water bottles. Runners who keep their water bottles past this point will have to carry the bottle until the next refreshment station. Water bottles must always be tossed in the containers, NEVER on the ground.
  • There will be yellow containers set up around the finish area for the same purpose.
